Cindy
Lancaster started her career photographing sports. It took
only one trip to Yellowstone National Park to change her focus.
Inspired by the beauty of the animals that inhabit the park,
she came away with a new desire, and a means to capture the
magnificence of the world and the wildlife that inhabits it.
Cindy’s
choice to photograph the wildlife of America motivated her
to study the animals of the North American continent so that
she could capture them in every mood and act. In gazing on
her work, you can hear the sounds, feel the environment and
peek into the natural experience of her subjects.
Armed
with four cameras, twelve lenses, film and an assistant, she
travels the continent to photograph the wonders of nature
and wildlife. Her passion is to show every one how compelling
and beautiful North America is, including the beauty in your
own backyard.
Cindy
is an award-winning photographer. She is a purist, using no
filters or digital enhancements, and photographs only animals
in the wild. She has two children, a dog and a parrot, and
lives in Durango Colorado with her husband, who makes the
frames for her work.
